You want to test someone’s trust?  Give them a half eaten box of Pot of Gold chocolates and lose the page that tells them what’s what.

Unless you’re me, and generally don’t really care, cause… chocolate.

Orange Crunch was a last minute addition to my last purchase with the Stash man, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what to think.  Orange, hazelnut and popcorn.  Sounds like an odd combination, but not so weird that it would be disastrous.  I mean, I used to dip my McD’s french fries in my chocolate sundae.  Cranberry sauce, stuffing and gravy sandwiches are a staple during the holidays for when you’re sick of turkey, or at least in my family.  And my favorite, when I get a chance (usually at my Mom’s) was fried baloney sandwiches with relish, cheese whiz and radishes.  I’ve been looked at like I was a freak when I’ve mentioned these in the past.  I’m sure some of you are raising an eyebrow at me behind your monitors.  But point being, is that the combination that is Orange Crunch didn’t sound too odd that it put me off.

And I’m glad it didn’t.

Depending on your device, and your ability to pick out flavours, you may not initally notice all three.  There is fresh popped salty popcorn.  There is smooth and creamy hazelnut butter.  And there’s strong, tangy orange.  The combination for me changed with each hoot, and if I can ever clean out any of my tanks (I have a tendency to let them accumulate until I have a “load” for my over sized ultrasonic), it may change a bit in one of them.  But overall, all three are present.

Now, why the commentary about Pot of Gold chocolates at the beginning?  Well, the thing is, when I first was vaping this, it reminded me of something.  Like the inner filling in orange cream chocolates from Pot of Gold.  There’s something about that orange, and the hazelnut itself with it, that comes across like that.  The popcorn comes like a salty, savoury note, like it would on a salted chocolate.

Nice, thick clouds that smell like a muted version of all three flavours.  The orange is certainly the loudest in the bunch, but I’m at a loss which one is stronger – the hazelnut or the popcorn.  One hoot I notice one, the next the other.  So I’d say they’re having themselves a battle, and I’m the winner.  Throat hit is exactly where I’d expect it to be, and my only complaint is that I didn’t get more.

Some may say that this is an adventurous flavour.  That’s the term that was used when I described it to a few friends.  But I really don’t know what the heck they’re talking about.  In the grocery stores out here, they offer flavoured popcorn from a local place that makes just about every flavour under the sun, and they’re constantly sold out of the orange cream popcorn.  Take that and drizzle some hazelnut butter on it, and there you go.  So how is that odd?  Vaping it just seems easier in the long run.
